Dining Room Updates + Safety Protocols (updated 7/3/20)

Posted by on June 2, 2020

You WOW us every day with your support, and we are grateful. We believe that transparency is important as we are all navigating new and unknown territory. We love to be a part of your daily routines. Please bear with us because there are a few changes we have made that may seem unexpected.

We are not following phases exactly and in most cases are operating in a more conservative way.

After nearly 16 years of counter service, you will now check-in with a friendly masked and sanitized host. They will seat you, and then a server will take your order at your table. This will allow us to limit the number of people in our spaces, the number of guests at each table (no more than 6), and ensure that your table is sanitized and socially distanced before you sit.

We are requiring our staff to wear masks. We are asking that all guests who are able, wear a mask when not seated at their table or when interacting with us.

Staff is required to be symptom-free before reporting to a shift. We are utilizing CDC guidelines promoting handwashing, facemasks, social distancing, sanitizing, and training staff on health measures. We will be maintaining our already high standards of cleanliness while adding more frequent cleaning practices. We want to thank the medical professionals at Complete Health Partners for their guidance and support.

We have made changes in order to manage lines, eliminate paper menus (although they will be available if needed), and cut down on other high touchpoints such as condiment bars. We have also installed contactless payment options (yay Apple Pay!).

Due to the unique features and layout of each location, the flow may vary. But, the general policies, safety changes, and high levels of service will be the same. We will also be keeping some of the products and amenities we have added in the past few months including groceries and prepared foods, as well as online ordering for curbside pickup or delivery.

Tickets to our July wine dinners will be limited, with socially distanced tables.

Hours will continue to be 7 am – 8 pm at all locations until further notice. We are looking forward to seeing you soon! As always, please email us at if you have any questions.

Frothy Updates

Posted by on April 26, 2020

// UPDATE Sunday 4.26.20 //

As you know, we are in a time with many unknowns and challenges which are changing day to day. In light of the communication from government officials in the past few days about plans for reopening our cities, we wanted to give you an update on what our plans are for Frothy Monkey.

We will be carefully considering factors including the unique needs of our staff, our guests, and our operations, while using recommendations from health organizations, as well as the phased plan presented by Nashville’s Mayor, as guidance for our decisions company wide. Our decisions will be data driven, not date driven, which means we do not have an exact timeline for reopening fully.

Our dining areas at all locations will remain closed until further notice until we feel it is safe for staff and guests to gather in them. We will remain open for curbside pickup and delivery, and over the next few weeks begin to expand our hours of operation as well as our menu. We will continue to innovate to stay relevant in an effort to employ more staff, and continue to offer the best quality experience possible. Our goal is to invest our resources in sustainable practices as we add staff and begin the process of reopening fully.

Thank you for sticking with us through this challenging time! We will continue to take every precaution to provide the safest possible service for our guests and work environment for our staff. We hope that you continue to enjoy Frothy Monkey with confidence. As always, let us know if you have any questions by emailing

Grocery + Family Meals

Posted by on April 10, 2020

We realize the times are tough and making as few trips out of the house as possible is essential. That’s why we’ve expanded our grocery offerings to include meat, produce, and other pantry staples. So when you order dinner or a coffee for curbside pickup you can skip a second stop.

A la carte grocery items are available to order for pickup within the hour and can be added to any online ordering purchase. Support our farmers and bakery while stocking up.

Butcher boxes, produce bundles, and sandwich kits are available for pickup on Tuesdays and Fridays (pre-order is required).

Family style meals that serve 4-6 are available by ordering by 3pm a day in advance. Just reheat and serve!

See you soon!

2019 Festivus Blend

Posted by on November 22, 2019

A blend of coffees from Sumatra + Ethiopia feat. notes of dried fruits, vanilla + baking spices

For the holidays we combine two very different and complex coffees from Sumatra and Ethiopia. For the 2019 Festivus Blend, we have once again selected two of the finest coffees Sumatra and Ethiopia have to offer.

We commissioned local artist, Jessie Pickren of Hew & Co to illustrate the Festivus art and the packaging was screen printed in Nashville, TN by Grand Palace.

This year’s Ethiopian component is a naturally processed coffee from the Konga cooperative, grown in the world famous Yirgacheffe region. This complex coffee adds plenty of dark fruit notes to the blend, such as cherry and blueberry.

The Sumatran component comes from the famed Aceh region in northern Sumatra.  Here the coffees are picked at peak ripeness and then processed in the “wet hull” method that has made Sumatra famous for their flavor profile. Our 2018 Festivus Blend adds plenty of depth with notes of vanilla, oak, and baking spices.

Together, these coffees create our version of one of the world’s original coffee blends, Mocha Java.

Festivus Blend will be available at all Frothy Monkey locations and from our online store starting on Black Friday and throughout the holiday season!

{NEWS} Frothy to open sixth location in East Nashville

Posted by on November 7, 2019

Frothy Monkey to open its sixth location
in the Lockeland Springs Neighborhood of East Nashville

Open date TBD

November 7, 2019The Post East will be closing its doors at 1701 Fatherland St in East Nashville at the end of this month, and the plan is for Frothy Monkey to open a full Frothy location (breakfast through dinner with coffee, beer, wine, and spirits) in the space after a brief closure. We have been patiently waiting for the right East Nashville opportunity to open a Frothy Monkey since we outgrew our BAKERY on Fatherland Street in 2018,” said Frothy Monkey co-owner Ryan Pruitt. “We are excited to be a part of the East Nashville neighborhood again.”

Husband and wife team, Tonya Lewis and Chris Cowley opened The Post East in 2014 as a place that fit the feel and culture of the neighborhood. “The spirit of community that The Post brings to Lockeland Springs is what Frothy brings to all the neighborhoods where they are located,” said The Post East proprietor Tonya Lewis. “There is a personal touch and quality in service that local businesses provide that major chains can’t replicate.”

More details will be released as they become available.
