Locally Roasted in Nashville

Frothy Monkey Roasting Company began roasting our own coffee in the summer of 2014. Our coffee can be found at one of our 8 locations as well as some of our favorite places. We source specialty coffees from all over the world and are proud to have direct relationships with many of the farmers and their communities.

12South

Named for our original Nashville neighborhood, 12South blends select Central and South American coffees into a remarkably versatile medium roast. With its plush body and natural caramel sweetness, this coffee adapts beautifully to any brewing method—from your morning drip to afternoon cold brew or post-dinner espresso. The balanced profile delivers distinct notes of red apple, chocolate, and hazelnut with each sip, making this our most popular coffee for good reason.

Brunch

Our breakfast blend celebrates Nashville’s favorite meal with a vibrant, light roast that brightens every morning. We combine a washed Ethiopian coffee with select Central American beans, roasting them just enough to preserve their inherent character while developing crisp citrus acidity and delicate body. The result is a refreshing cup with distinct black tea notes, bright citrus, and a pleasant nutty finish. Brunch’s lively profile fits perfectly alongside your weekend pancakes or weekday commute.

Brute *formerly French

Crafted for the bold coffee purist, Brute delivers a deep, creamy body with purpose and restraint. We carefully roast this smooth beast just enough to develop robust flavor while preserving the coffee’s natural sweetness. Its full body and minimal acidity create a perfect morning companion, especially when brewed in a French press. Brute is ideal for those bleary-eyed starts when complexity takes a backseat to comfort. Expect pronounced notes of burnt sugar, cocoa nibs, and macadamia that stand up beautifully to cream.

Howler Espresso

A meticulously crafted espresso blend that performs beautifully in milk-based drinks while standing confidently on its own. We pair a buttery, fruit-forward natural Brazil with a chocolatey Central American coffee, creating a medium-roasted blend with exceptional balance and versatility. Pull as espresso to experience its full-bodied richness, with distinctive notes of almond butter, dark chocolate, and red grape lingering through the finish. When combined with steamed milk, Howler develops a creamy sweetness that perfectly complements cappuccinos and lattes.

Eventide (Decaf)

Our evening companion proves that decaffeination doesn’t mean compromise. Sourced and processed by our friends at Swiss Water, who use a 100% chemical-free method to gently remove caffeine while preserving flavor integrity. The result is a full-bodied, dark-roasted coffee with minimal acidity and pronounced notes of baking chocolate, black cherry, and molasses. Perfect for your post-dinner ritual or late-night conversation, Eventide delivers the satisfaction of exceptional coffee without keeping you awake.

Midshift (Half-Caff)

When you need just enough caffeine to finish strong without disrupting your evening plans, Midshift offers the perfect solution. We blend our Swiss Water decaf with a bright, citrusy washed Ethiopian coffee to create a balanced medium roast that satisfies both flavor and function. The cup delivers a subtle citric acidity with distinctive notes of tangerine, marshmallow, and cocoa powder. Brew using any method that suits your afternoon ritual. Cold Brew

Specifically developed for cold extraction but versatile enough for any brewing method, this carefully crafted blend combines Guatemalan and Ethiopian coffees for remarkable balance and clarity. When steeped cold for 12-18 hours, it develops a creamy, smooth body with refreshing acidity and distinctive notes of Bartlett pear, milk chocolate, and hazelnut. The naturally sweet finish requires no additives, though it welcomes milk or your favorite alternative effortlessly. For cold brew, use a 1:4.8 coffee-to-water ratio with coarse grounds and filtered water, then dilute to taste when serving over ice.

Single Origin Coffees

We source a variety of exceptional shifting single-region coffees from our partners all over the world. These coffees are seasonal, and available at different times throughout the year, depending on harvesting periods. Specially selected for superior quality, our Single Origin coffees are each roasted to accentuate the complex, inherit flavors within the coffee beans themselves, whether they’re naturally fruity, floral, nutty, bright, earthy or sweet.
