This past weekend marked the 34th annual l’Ete du Vin wine auction in Nashville; the nation’s largest charity-wine auction outside of the state of California, whose primary goal is to “unite the wine community to fund the fight against cancer.” With a series of wine-related events held throughout the summer, the LDV wine auction culminated this past weekend at Loew’s Vanderbilt Plaza, with hundreds of collectors of wine and supporters of cancer research and prevention, gathered together for this annual charity dinner & its accompanying festivities.
As a participant in the “Pairings” wine auction event, one of the smaller auction events held earlier in the year, we were excited to have the opportunity to donate a dinner package, alongside wines from Chimney Rock Winery in California, to represent our participation in the Nashville Wine Auction. As a result, Frothy Monkey made its debut into the Nashville Wine Auction world this past June by hosting our very first l’Ete Du Vin wine dinner at our newly opened Franklin, TN location.
With the introduction of wine to our recent brand expansion into the Franklin market, coupled with LDV’s desire to reach a broader demographic of wine drinkers and lovers, Frothy Monkey was able to present a bridge to help pioneer LDV’s desire to grow their reach in the greater Nashville area. As a result, we are at the beginning stages of forging a long and symbiotic relationship with the Nashville Wine Auction and other wine-related entities in Nashville.
Among the many esteemed attendees that night, we were really excited to have Lisa Quillman Coviello of The Bottle Shop at McEwen in Franklin join us. She and her husband opened this incredible wine/spirits/beer shop in the Cool Springs area last year, and we are thrilled to join forces with them as we continue to promote and plan our next wine event, which we have slated for Thursday, September 5th!
