All the traits we love about Costa Rican coffees shine through in this beautifully balanced cup. Sweet, crisp notes of Gala apple are paired with smooth, rich flavors of almond butter and nougat, to make this a wonderfully well-rounded, crowd-pleaser of a coffee. The “Yellow Honey Process” used in the drying of this coffee in Costa Rica gives it a complex malic acidity, while also preserving the deep sweetness of the coffee fruit within the bean itself, resulting in a harmonious and delicious cup. What is Single Origin Coffee? Unlike coffee blends, Single Origin Coffee has a single geographic origin. This could be a single farm or a single country. For the majority of these coffees we will have a direct relationship with the farmer who grows it. Because coffee is a crop, harvesting is seasonal and the timing is specific to each region, our selection of single origin coffees will vary throughout the year.
