We’re just gushing about this “chocolate-covered-fruit-bomb” of a coffee, our first-ever anaerobic processed offering (in which coffee cherries are fermented without oxygen). This specific process results in wild and unique flavors, with no two coffees ever tasting the same. For this lot from the famed Yirgacheffe region of Ethiopia, the dense, ripe cherries are put through a full fermentation routine that lasts between 3 and 7 days. The final product is a coffee experience unlike any other: the Worka Sakaro starts with rich cherry pie notes, and as it cools, you’ll notice floral attributes and a tea-like body, with hints of sweet tartness like a ripe strawberry. By the end, you’ll get a nice baker’s chocolate sweetness, leaving you with one of the smoothest and most indulgently fruity cups you’ve ever had.

What is Single Origin Coffee? Unlike coffee blends, Single Origin Coffee has a single geographic origin. This could be a single farm or a single country. For the majority of these coffees we will have a direct relationship with the farmer who grows it. Because coffee is a crop, harvesting is seasonal and the timing is specific to each region, our selection of single origin coffees will vary throughout the year.
