Ethiopia Sidamo Bera

Our first Ethiopia single-origin release of the summer hails from the Sidamo region, sourced through our longtime partners, Red Fox Coffee Merchants. Ethiopia is renowned for producing some of the finest coffees and microlots globally, and we’re proud to showcase this exceptional lot.

The Bera washing station, located in Aleta Wendo on the south-central plateau of Sidamo, sits approximately 340 km from Addis Ababa. This coffee grows at altitudes up to 2,500 masl, which typically results in high-quality beans. Aleta Wendo’s cool climate fosters the slower cherry maturation essential for premium coffee.

This microlot delights with notes of star fruit, white grape, and barley tea, offering a complex yet clean drinking experience that epitomizes washed Ethiopian coffees. We’re excited to feature more exceptional coffees from this esteemed region later this summer.
