Guatemala Princesa Gesha

$25.00

Our 11th and final Roaster Series release of 2023 is a source of pride for our roasting team, and we are excited to share it with you. This coffee is the result of our second purchase from the Vides Family in Guatemala, specifically from their exquisite farm, Finca La Bolsa. Vides 58 Estates, another of our valued buying relationships, is a truly family-run operation.

The legacy of Vides 58 Estates began sixty-five years ago in 1958 with Jorge Vides, the grandfather of the current head of operations, Renardo “Nayo” Ovalle Vides. Nayo’s wife, Jacqueline, is a Q grader who dedicates a significant amount of her time to overseeing coffee quality in their impressive lab in Guatemala City.

The Gesha variety, featured in this release, is highly coveted in the specialty coffee world for its unique and complex flavor profile. The farm is situated in a rural valley, accessible only by a gravel road, surrounded by slopes covered in coffee trees. A natural spring near the farm provides easy access to fresh water for post-harvest processing, a distinct advantage in the coffee-producing world.

This cup of Princesa Gesha is a testament to the quality of natural-processed coffees from the Vides Team and their remarkable farm in Huehuetenango. This coffee presents notes of Dried Apricot, Wildflower Honey, and Orange Oil.
