The pantented wave design reduces contact between the brewing space and the filter itself for a more balanced extraction and a flavorful, full-bodied cup of coffee every time. The design of the filters work in perfect harmony with Kalita Wave Drippers to create a pool of water on top of the coffee bed that can help control agitation, helping maintain a uniform extraction without too much turbulation (which could lead to over extraction).
The Wave Series from Kalita is the premier coffee dripper available on the market. The flat-bottom coffee bed geometry, patented ‘Wave’ filter, and three-hole design work together to provide an even extraction that makes brewing a perfect cup accessible and easy.
Brew directly into a cup, or mount it on a Kalita Glass Server. We recommend this size (#185) for brewing about 26-45 grams of coffee, yielding between 16 and 26 ounces of brewed coffee.
