Many cold brew makers are available on the market, but they all use the same steeping method. The process is in the name “cold brew”, and because we use cold water, it takes longer for the coffee to extract. Typically, the brew time ranges between 12 to 24 hours. After brewing, you are left with a rich concentrate that allows you to dilute it to your taste preferences.

What you need for this brew

Frothy Monkey Cold Brew Coffee Standards

  • Dose = 170 g
  • Brew time (total time) = 12 to 24 hours
  • Coffee to water ratio = 1:4.8
  • Grind = Coarse

Step by Step OXO Cold Brew Coffee Preparation

STEP 1 • Weigh out ~170 g of Frothy Monkey Cold Brew Coffee and grind on a coarse setting.

STEP 2 • Pour 170 g of coarse-ground coffee into the brewing chamber.

STEP 3 • Gently pour 29 fl oz of filtered water over the top of your grounds. Use the rainmaker lid to evenly distribute water. Once finished, use a spoon to push any remaining dry grounds below the surface.

STEP 4 • Place the lid on the top of your brewer and let the coffee steep for 12 to 24 hours at room temperature.

STEP 5 • Remove the cork top from your glass carafe, and place your brewer on top. This will engage the release valve on the bottom of the brewer and coffee will begin to filter into the carafe.

STEP 6 • You will be left with a cold brew concentrate that will last up to two weeks in the refrigerator. We recommend cutting this concentrate with a 1:2 ratio of concentrate to water.

STEP 7 • Serve over ice with water or milk. Enjoy!
